Asphalt paver is one of the indispensable and important mechanical equipment in highway pavement construction. It plays a very important role in the process of highway construction in our country. Based on my years of practical experience in the management and maintenance of construction machinery, this paper mainly analyzes various common fault maintenance of paver, and then expounds the precautions and daily maintenance of Paver accessories in the use process, so as to improve the use efficiency of machinery.
With the continuous high-speed development of China's social economy, the development speed of highway construction is also advancing rapidly. Among the construction machinery and equipment of highway pavement, asphalt paver is one of the important core machinery and equipment, and its performance directly affects the overall construction quality of pavement. Therefore, it is particularly important to improve the performance, quality and application technology of asphalt paver. Next, combined with many years of work practice, this paper briefly introduces some key points in common troubleshooting and maintenance of paver for peer reference.
1. Troubleshooting of typical faults
1.1 traveling fault
When the paver is running, the walking fault usually shows that it does not walk or the walking route deviates. The fault causes are usually as follows:
(1) The solenoid valve wiring is loose and the working pump does not work. In this case, the working pump cannot work because there is no power supply, resulting in the lack of oil and failure of the traveling motor on this side, resulting in the deviation of the machine or the inability of one side to walk.
(2) The travel motor has failed. After using for a long time, the working face or end face of the motor is seriously worn, which reduces the volumetric efficiency of the motor and leads to no power output.
1.2 auger inoperative
Sometimes, the left and right distributors of the paver do not work. These faults may be caused by the faults of circuit and mechanical transmission system, as well as the faults caused by the oil quantity performance in the hydraulic system and the blockage of oil filter. In addition to electrical and mechanical power, the failure of the hydraulic system of the spreader auger may be caused by:
(1) The bearings at both ends of the spiral distributor are damaged. After long-term use, the accessories are worn and are easy to be blocked by transmission and break the bearing. Therefore, we should always pay attention to the operation of the bearing, timely replace the relevant parts of the bearing in case of problems, and inject new lubricating oil before it can continue to be used.
(2) The chain is too long. As a power transmission chain, it will continue to be stretched in use. When it exceeds a certain length, the chain will be stuck in the chain gear box. At this time, the chain will be damaged and need to be replaced again. At the same time, lubricating oil should be added.
(3) Planetary reducer damaged. If the distributor cannot operate, first check whether the chain driving wheel can rotate. If it cannot rotate, further check the condition of the planetary reducer to see the service condition of the gear and ring gear. If the condition is serious and affects the continued use, the assembly must be replaced.
(4) Failure of hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor. By observing the indication of the hydraulic gauge, judge whether it is the fault caused by the damage of the hydraulic pump. Once the indication is low or returns to zero, you can judge that the hydraulic pump has a problem. If there is a problem with the hydraulic motor, it will lead to insufficient power and lower indication. If there is no response on the damaged side, the assembly needs to be replaced.

1.3 difficulty in lifting the screed
During the working process of asphalt paver, sometimes the screed is unable to lift or has no action. First, check whether the engine works normally. If the engine power output decreases, diagnose the factors affecting the low engine power output according to the specific fault phenomenon and eliminate the engine fault. Now take the failure of the lifting of the screed and the opening and closing of the hopper as an example to troubleshoot the hydraulic failure.
(1) Check the hydraulic filter. Dismantle and inspect the filter of the hydraulic system and check whether the filter is blocked. If it is blocked, clean or replace the filter. During assembly, ensure that the joint surface is in good condition without air leakage.
(2) Test the operating pressure of the screed lift circuit. Check whether the indicated value of the pressure gauge can reach the set value. If the oil pressure is too small, it indicates that the difficulty in lifting the screed is caused by the low set pressure of the main safety valve. The set pressure of the safety valve can be adjusted to reach the specified value. If the oil pressure is unstable, there is air in the hydraulic system. Check whether the shaft head oil seal of the working pump is damaged, whether the low-pressure pipeline and pipe joint are damaged and leaked, and the sealing condition of the filter joint surface. Repair and remove the air in the system as appropriate.
(3) Disassemble and inspect the safety valve and 2 pilot relief valves in the screed lift circuit. Check whether the spring is damaged, whether the sealing surface is well sealed and whether the damping hole is blocked. If it is damaged, replace the main safety valve and check the set pressure of the safety valve to make it meet the requirements.
(4) Remove and inspect the lifting control valve of the screed. Check whether the sealing surface of the valve core and the valve body is scratched and whether the valve core and the valve body are well sealed. If the sealing surface is defective, it can be repaired or replaced by grinding according to the situation.
(5) Disassemble and inspect the working pump. If the working pump has high noise and serious abnormal noise during operation, and the higher the engine speed, the greater the noise, it shall be disassembled and inspected. If there is out of tolerance or damage, it shall be repaired or replaced.
(6) Disassemble and inspect the hydraulic cylinder. Dismantle and inspect the lifting cylinder, check the wear of the piston and sealing ring, replace the seals, and check whether the piston rod and cylinder barrel are scratched, scratched, bent, deformed, etc., and repair or replace it if necessary.

In the process of equipment manufacturing and processing, if the metal chips in processing are not handled properly to make them enter the hydraulic system, or the water and dust are mixed when injecting hydraulic oil, it will cause the failure of the hydraulic system and cause various hazards.
(1) Metal chips drill into the gaps and channels of the hydraulic system, making it difficult or even impossible for the hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor to operate.
(2) Metal chips and dust cause increased friction and wear of equipment. The amount of pollutants exceeds the limit, resulting in oil film damage and functional failure. The equipment increases friction during continuous operation, resulting in irreversible wear and finally oil leakage.
(3) Reduce the working efficiency of the hydraulic system.
(4) Accelerate the oxidative deterioration of hydraulic oil.
(5) Failure of automatic control elements of the system.
(6) Cause vibration and noise.
